So you got the graphic design degree under your belt and managed to score employment at a design firm (or another), considering this will likely be an entry level job, what exactly is the work? What do you do? Can anyone who has been through this experience elaborate?

I see a lot of books on designing large gardens, but we live in California and have a very small back yard that we’d like to liven up (right now it’s just mulch). Is it worth hiring a contractor? Is there good landscape design software we could use to help do it on our own?

I would appreciate if an architect or someone that knows about cars, traffic or urbanism explain the “perfect or ideal design ” of a city.

What is the skill level needed to use it? Ease of use?
Windows or Mac?
Where can I get it at? How much? Student rates?

Here’s the deal: I skipped school this year to opt for “rest” but now that I’m totally blank, I want to do something productive and long-term. Now, should I start a small food business and start taking fashion design classes in addition to regular classes?
OR should I go to fashion design now and start a business after graduation?
I like the former, but what do you think?
